Therapeutic Yoga blends restorative yoga (supported postures), gentle yoga, breath-work, hands-on healing, and guided meditation techniques to create a gentle yet powerful practice designed to bring the body into balance and reduce stress. This nourishing monthly workshop is designed to support you in activating your innate “relaxation response,” freeing you from the chronic “stress response” that so many of us get stuck in day after day.
Therapeutic Yoga releases fascial constrictions resulting from tension, injury and scar tissue, with the potential for very deep release. As we open and release physical blocks, we allow our bodies to function optimally, leading to the following benefits:

All levels welcome in this class; this is a particularly effective practice for those recovering from injury or illness, but is also very beneficial for those simply recovering from a stressful day.
Amanda Harper has been teaching at Bernal Yoga for the past nine years and has taught over 500 asana classes at the studio. As well as being trained in Therapeutic Yoga she is also a qualified Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Instructor, Nutrition Educator and mother of two young boys.
