The Foundations of Yoga class is designed for students of all levels.
You will gain information and insight around building poses with a commitment to alignment and structure. From a place of feeling centered, grounded and strong you will find it more likely to move from a place of authenticity, grace and ease.
Each class will also focus on developing a relationship with the breath, thereby deepening the connection of your mind and body. This inner awareness can help you not only focus on your body in the poses but also help to settle your mind.
It will be a slow, steady, integrated practice with an intention to implement yoga as a tool for living mindfully.
There will be some discussion on modern and ancient philosophy, along with occasional poetry reading and chanting. The class will ebb and flow with the seasons and themes appropriate for different times of the year.
