Miya first came to the practice of yoga years ago when her sister brought her to a Shiva Rea class—but it was a little while until she was hooked. Though she practiced off and on over the next few years, it was not until a knee injury that she returned to yoga for its healing effects. Since then she has explored Bikram, Iyengar, Shadow Yoga, Astanga, restorative yoga and vinyasa. She has completed teacher trainings with Rusty Wells, Stephanie Snyder and Elise Lorimer.

Miya understands that everyone is on their own unique journey and draws on her experiences and learnings to support each individual on their journey. Her classes are a grounding, compassionate and challenging experience. Be prepared to come back to yourself.
